SAFARI ZOO is situated at the southern tip of the Lake District in the North West of England on the A590 trunk road.
Take Junction 36 from the M6 and follow the signs towards Barrow-in-Furness. After passing through Ulverston the brown “SAFARI ZOO ” Elephant Tourist Signs take over, Follow these till you reach the turning for Marton at Melton Terrace.

Searching for South Lakes Safari Zoo / South Lakes Wild Animal Park may take you past our new entrance road. If your GPS doesn’t locate Melton Terrace please try our staff only entrance address taking note of the instructions beneath to turn off at the correct junction.

Coming from the M6, Follow the brown zoo signs along the A590 & turn at the sign for Marton. Do not continue into Dalton-in-Furness.
Public Transport Information
Bus - Stagecoach - X6 / 6
Public transport from Barrow-in-Furness, Ulverston, Dalton-in-Furness Train Station or even Kendal. The X6 & 6 both stop at our new entrance bus stop “Melton Top - Lindal-in-Furness” You’ll see a pedestrian path from the bus stop which takes you right to our park entrance. For return you will need “Bankers Corner - Dalton-in-Furness”. There are roughly 4 buses an hour. The full timetable is available HERE
The nearest railway station is “Dalton-in-Furness (DLT)” A bus or Taxi can be taken right to our entrance from here or you can walk the short 25min walk shown here
